The Working Pit Bulldog is a breed classification created by the American Dog Breeders Association (ADBA) in its 2015 stud book reclassification. It recognizes dogs from weight-pull performance lines, descending from bloodlines like Eddington's Wanna Be A Whopper and Dagger, that developed over roughly three decades of competition into something structurally distinct from the American Pit Bull Terrier: larger, heavier-boned, and built to pull.
The ADBA standard calls for 75–135 pounds in lean condition, with a hard registration cutoff for any dog over 135 pounds lean at two years of age. Next Freak breeds ADBA-registered Working Pit Bulldogs carrying that lineage.
